Pizza on Screen

You will probably eat about 6,000 slices of pizza in your lifetime. Maybe more. A lot of those slices were probably consumed while watching a movie or a television show.  But pizza has taken a role on screen as well as in your home.




Starring Slices

Pizza Man, starring Frankie Muniz, tells the story of a pizza delivery guy who gets superpowers after eating a GMO tomato.

Three girls (played by Annabeth Gish, Lily Taylor, and Julia Roberts) work at a pizza parlor in the classic coming of age film, Mystic Pizza.

Two Guys, a Girl, and a Pizza Place was a TV series that aired from 1998 to 2001, starring Ryan Reynolds.

In Pizza My Heart, a 2005 TV movie, two Italian families own competing pizza restaurants, and follows a modern day New Jersey-based Romeo and Juliet.

Home Alone star Macauley Culkin formed a band called Pizza Underground in 2013, with song titles like “I’m Waiting for the Delivery Man.” And of course, we can’t forget the scene in Home Alone, where Kevin just wants a pizza but his big brother makes sure it doesn’t happen.

Superheroes Teenaged Mutant Ninja Turtles live for pizza:

Tina Fey grabbed a whole pizza for a slice in 30 Rock.
